Nominees may be submitted for one or both of the following two categories.
Career Achievement:
These recommendations should include someone who has been involved in Public Safety Communications for a number of years and have been active in one or more of the many regional, statewide, and/or national committees. The nominees multiple contributions have had an effect on the overall success of Public Safety Communications within the state of Colorado and have had a significant impact on ensuring operational communications and/or interoperable communications within their home region, adjoining region or state. This individual may or may not have filled a leadership position in any of the committees but has made significant contributions to have made a measureable impact on the overall success of Public Safety Communications. These nominees are the people who inspire the rest of us to get involved and make a difference.
Event Achievement:
These recommendations will include someone who has made such an impact on a singular event that catastrophic loss of life or property could have occurred without their actions on any of the systems of systems as we know Public Safety Communications in Colorado. The purpose of this category of nomination is to recognize the individual(s) who make an immediate impact for all first responders for a singular event without regards to personal time, effort, or salary to ensure that first responders can serve and protect the citizens during a natural or manmade disaster or other such event. This may include individuals who do not normally commit time supporting Public Safety Communications Systems.
